A funeral service for James Russell Wolfe, age 73, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Gus Andrews officiating. Private burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery.Jim was born June 7, 1941 in Newark, Ohio to the late Albert and Mabel (Roberts) Wolfe. He passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Arlington Care Center in Newark. Jim retired from Newark City Schools where he had been a school bus driver for fifteen years. Following his retirement, he greeted everyone with a smile at the McDonalds on Union Street, where he was employed for nearly eleven years. Jim was a member of the Licking Valley Church of Christ and was a volunteer with the Civil Defense (Emergency Management) for many years. He enjoyed fishing, biking and walking and loved being outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Georgina Jo (Donegan) Wolfe, whom he married on September 21, 1973 and remarried on October 7, 1992; daughter, Joleen (Dave) Kelley of Centreville, MD; grandson, Christopher (Marlena) Kelley of Petaluma, CA; great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Ally and Maggie; daughter, Lily (Bill) Hollar of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Raven Wolfe, Hayden Hollar and Hayley Hollar; brothers and sisters, Robert (Sharon) Wolfe of Newark, Larry (June) Wolfe of Marengo, Bill (Carol) Wolfe of Newark, Ray Wolfe of Newark, Brian (Angie) Wolfe of Hinesville, GA, Marilyn (Dave) Hunt of Hebron and Janice (Wayne) Copeland of West Virginia; an aunt, Mary Roberts of Newark; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.
