James Wiley Findlay, 93, of Newark, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025. He was born on July 15, 1932, in Gallipolis, to the late James and Chloe (England) Findlay.
Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from Walker's Manufacturing as a factory worker and he found joy in fishing and hunting. He loved telling jokes, stories of growing up and memories of Korea. Jim was a kind Christian man.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Brenda) Findlay and Keith Findlay, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dayneze Findlay; children, James R. Findlay, Kenneth Findlay, Deborah Bailey and brother's, Eugene Findlay, Robert Findlay and William Findlay.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, October, 29, 2025, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, 56 S. Main St., Thornville, Ohio. A graveside service will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
