Jack Ray Bentley, Sr.

Jack Ray Bentley, Sr., age 73, of Newark, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 4, 2026. Jack was born May 25, 1952 in Pulaski, Virginia.

Jack loved fishing, hunting, working on cars, and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela S. (Detty) Bentley; four children, Jackie Bentley of Newark, Samantha (Raymond) Howard of Heath, Tommy Bentley of Newark, and Keya (Michael) Roberts of Zanesville; his mother, Betty Lee (Wright) Bentley of Newark; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Deborah Dunlap of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Junior Bentley; and a brother, John Bentley.

A celebration of Jack's life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, at the GMP Hall, 350 Hudson Avenue in Newark.
