A funeral service celebrating the life of Ivan Lee Huber, age 95, of Pataskala, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, at the Kirkersville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Martin Gehring officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Ivan was born October 25, 1929 in Outville, Ohio to the late Henry Cleveland and Jenny Bell (Williams) Huber. He passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at his home.

Ivan was a devoted family man and a lifelong resident of Outville. Throughout his career, Ivan was employed by Rockwell International, where he worked with dedication until his retirement. Outside of his professional life, Ivan was a man of varied interests. He nourished his soul by spending time in the great outdoors, relishing the tranquility of the woods through activities such as cutting, splitting, and burning wood. His love for muscle cars, particularly Mustangs, was well-known among his friends and family. Ivan also had a passion for coaching women's softball, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport over the years.

Ivan found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was watching classic Westerns and game shows or engaging with his community. He was a man who appreciated the beauty of nature, the thrill of a good game, and the companionship of family and friends.

He is survived by three children, Jodie (Robert) Adams of Hebron, Brinda (Bruce) Carl of Pataskala, and Ivan Lee “Chip” Huber, Jr. of Outville; grandchildren, Jaci (John) Raines, Dusty (Ronnie) Marang, Cindy Marie Munkres, Crystal Carl, Misty (Chris) Kuzmanoff, and Bruce Carl; as well as 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pauline Marie (Moritz) Huber, on March 29, 2018; his beloved daughter, Debra Huber, on January 31, 2025; and two brothers, Ralph Emerson Huber and Thurman Huber.
