George A. Griffith, age 82 of Newark, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026. He was born August 5, 1944, in Urbana, Ohio.

George was a 1962 graduate of Watkins High School and was a member of the FFA. Following graduation, he began his life’s work farming his family’s farm.

George was a member of the Outville Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He enjoyed auctions, hunting for equipment and machinery

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Adelaide (Moore) Griffith.

George is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Karen L. (Moulton) Griffith; children, Lisa (Richard) Kincaid, Tim Griffith, Heidi (Brad) Nolan; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 9-11 AM, Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Hoskinson Funeral Home, 285 E. Main Street, Kirkersville, Ohio 43033 where a procession will begin at 11 AM, Saturday for a committal service at Kirkersville Cemetery with Rev. Rick Riggs officiating.

Contributions maybe made to Licking County Humane Society, Outville Presbyterian Church, Bella Care Hospice and St. Jude’s Hospital.
