Gale E. Barcus, Jr.

Gale E. Barcus Jr., a resident of Somerset, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at home. He was born on April 1, 1960, in Newark, Ohio, to the late Ruth (Coon) and Gale Barcus Sr.

He was employed as a heavy equipment operator at Watson General Contracting.

Gale is survived by Robin (Wells) Barcus, sharing 46 wonderful years of marriage; sons, Sean (Sherri) Barcus and Kyle Barcus; grandchildren, Gracie Barcus, Ella Barcus, Sawyer Barcus, Jace Barcus, Caitlyn Cooper, Olivia Austin, Noah Austin, and Abigail Austin; brothers, Brad (Anne) Barcus and Rob (Rhonda) Barcus, as well as his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, David Barcus.

His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Gale equally enjoyed the tranquility and adventure of camping.

Per the wishes of Gale, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
