Galena, OH - Frederick F. "Zeke" Riedmiller Jr., affectionately known as "Zeke" to those close to him, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on Friday, June 4th, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, Zeke was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Zeke is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Judy Lynn (Cravens) Riedmiller. Their love story began on November 6th, 1971, leading to a beautiful family that includes their cherished children: Amy (Shane) Willey, Adam (Sarah) Riedmiller, and Amber (Mike) Williams. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren, Taley, Jazmine, Donovan, Trenton, and Honor, who brought immense joy to his life.

A proud brother, Zeke is also survived by his sister, Jane Riedmiller, and his brothers, John and Gary Riedmiller. He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick R. Riedmiller Sr. and Donna Riedmiller, and his brother, David Riedmiller.

Zeke served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, an experience that instilled in him values of discipline and service. After his military service, he dedicated nearly 25 years to Mettler Toledo as an Electrical Engineer, contributing significantly to the organization with his expertise and commitment.

Outside of work, Zeke was a man of varied interests and passions. He enjoyed the thrill of riding rollercoasters and the peace of working in his garden. He expressed his creativity through playing the guitar and photography, and he found joy in working on airplanes and model trains. His John Deere tractor was not just a tool but a source of shared delight as he took his children on memorable rides. An enthusiast of the outdoors, he loved camping and sledding. His 1970 442 automobile was a prized possession, a testament to his appreciation for fine craftsmanship.

Zeke's life was characterized by a love for adventure, and a deep commitment to family and friends. He leaves behind many who cherished his laughter, witty sarcasm, stubbornness, wisdom, and warmth.

Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Zeke and his family during this time. A celebration of his life, filled with the joys and stories he shared, will be held for family.
