Frances Louise Armstrong, a devoted wife, loving mother, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on Sunday, August 23rd, 1942, in the quaint town of Granville, Ohio, Frances graced the world with her kindness, warmth, and devotion to family and community.
Frances was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her father, William Driskell, her mother, Texas Driskell, and all twelve of her beloved siblings. Her memory lives on through her devoted children, a host of nieces and nephews, and dear friends who were touched by her grace, strength, and unwavering faith over the years.
Frances married the love of her life, Donald Leroy Armstrong, and together they created a warm and faith-filled home for their two daughters, Tracy and Kelly Armstrong. As a devoted stay-at-home wife and mother, Frances poured her heart into raising her daughters, ensuring they were deeply rooted in love, church, and community. She remained actively involved in every chapter of their lives from school to spiritual growth always present and always supportive.
A woman of strong faith, Frances was a longtime, active member of Trinity AME Methodist Church, where she held various leadership roles and joyfully took children to sing at churches throughout the community, sharing the joy of worship and music. Later, she became a member of Rhema Christian Center, where she served faithfully in the Two-by-Two Ministry, Fellowship Ministry, and Personal Workers Ministry. Her ministry work was an extension of her generous spirit and deep love for others.
Frances had a special love for animals and cared deeply for her cherished dogs; Susie, Fluffy, Linus, and Pippy who brought her great comfort and joy over the years. She also had a strong passion for tennis and an incredible talent for crafting and home decorating, always filling her home with beauty, warmth, and a creative touch.
Frances’s life was a beautiful reflection of devotion to God, to her family, and to everyone she touched. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering faith will be remembered always and cherished forever.
