Faith E. Grigsby

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Faith E. Grigsby, a beloved member of the Newark, Ohio community, who departed this life on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on December 7th, 1946, Faith spent her entire life in Newark, where her spirit touched many lives.

Faith was a dedicated homemaker, whose warmth and generosity left indelible marks on the hearts of her family and friends. She was the loving daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret Grigsby. Faith is fondly remembered by her sister, Flora Walker (Harry), and brothers Roger Ayers and Patrick Ayers (Kim). She leaves behind a cherished cousin, Paula Gostrue (John), along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends. Faith was predeceased by her son, Shawn Grigsby; brothers David, James, and Sam Grigsby; and two nieces and two nephews.

Faith had a passion for life that was evident in her many interests, from collecting angels and enjoying word searches and adult coloring, to camping and spending quality time with her family and friends. Her heart found joy in attending events at Heritage Hall and the Gathering Place, and she held a special place for the annual "Night to Shine" prom, which she attended with great anticipation. She attended More Life Church in Newark, her faith was a guiding light throughout her life.

A visitation will be held at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service in Newark, OH, on Friday, June 13th, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm to celebrate Faith's life and legacy. Pastor Craig Burdick will serve as officiant. Arrangements are entrusted to Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, reflecting Faith's compassionate spirit and dedication to community care. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Faith E. Grigsby will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and indomitable spirit will continue to inspire us all.
