Elizabeth "Liz" Kurtz

A graveside service celebrating the life of Elizabeth “Liz” Kurtz, age 59, of Newark, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 16, at Hanover Cemetery with Pastor Patricia Abdulla officiating.

Liz was born December 5, 1966 in Newark, Ohio to the late Daniel and Rebecca (Thompson) Mills. She passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark.

Liz enjoyed working puzzles, playing games on her phone, and baking, especially cakes.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce W. Kurtz; her children, Venus Warner (Steven), Amanda Shaw, Ricky Faller, Paul Faller, Jesse (Mara) Faller, Melody Faller (Dakota), Elisa Faller, and Danielle Kurtz; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne Mills, Johnny Mills, and Daniel Mills, Jr.; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Garrison “Adam” Warner in 2023; and a brother, James Mills.
