Donald L. McPeek

Donald L. McPeek Jr., of Newark, OH, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, September 11th, 2025, at the age of 79. Born in Newark, Ohio on Tuesday, July 23rd, 1946, Donald lived a life full of love, service, and dedication.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita R. (Spangler) McPeek; his daughters, Tracy, Michelle, and Dawn; and his stepchildren, Dennis, Joe, and Mary. He also leaves behind his sisters, Linda and Vickie; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law and friends who will miss him dearly.

Preceded in death by his devoted parents, Donald L. McPeek Sr. and Edna Lucille McPeek, and his brother, Rod, Donald now joins them in eternal rest.

Donald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, exemplifying his commitment to service and duty. Following his military service, he dedicated over 20 years to his role as a maintenance worker at Tamarack Farms in Newark, Ohio, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues.

Donald was a man of many passions. He found joy in working with his laser engraver, flying his remote control helicopter, and target shooting. Known for his deep love of dogs, they were a constant presence and comfort in his life. Although previously residing in Arizona, Donald called Newark, OH his home for many years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any VA organization in memory of Donald.
