Thornville, OH - Dennis M. Rauch, a beloved brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the age of 78. Dennis was strengthened daily by his trust in God, while enduring COPD and lung cancer. Born in Longview, Texas, on the vibrant day of Friday, July 4, 1947, Dennis lived a life full of creativity, adventure, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Dennis was the proud owner and operator of a successful T-Shirt marketing and retail company. His passion for design and art was evident in his talent for designing, drawing, and painting T-shirts, bringing joy and unique flair into everyday life. Known for his inventive spirit, Dennis designed, built, and patented the popular toy "Ugly Garth’s Super Smackers”, earning him a memorable appearance on the Flippo Show.

A man of many talents and interests, Dennis produced laser light shows at state fairs. He enjoyed the thrilling excitement of NASCAR races.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Bridget Eckerson. He leaves behind cherished memories with his siblings, Russell Rauch, Gerry (Marla) Rauch, Janet (Robert) Urbanic, Carol (Dick) Van Schoyck, and Anita Corn; and brother-in-law, Lee Badger. Dennis’s legacy will also be cherished by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who were fortunate to know his kindness and zest for life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph T. and Caroline E. Rauch, his beloved spouse, Emily Rauch, his brother, Thomas Rauch, and his sisters, Judith Badger and Rebecca Rauch.

Dennis's family invites donations in his memory to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 555 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Dennis M. Rauch was a man who filled the lives of those around him with laughter, joy, and love. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
