Daniel Paul Davis, age 77, of Millersport, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at his home. He was born October 7, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Paul H. and Helen R. (Sells) Davis.
Dan was a 1967 graduate of Bishop Hartley High School where he lettered in track all four years. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Dan faithfully served his country in the Strategic Air Command at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska. He was a business owner and operated the Thurber BP (Sohio) in Columbus for many years. An avid football fan, Dan’s favorite teams were the OSU Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed boating. Above all, his family meant the world to him and his dog, Buddy, was his favorite person in the world.
He is survived by three children, Christopher Davis, Beth (Shane) Tuggle, and Anne Davis; grandchildren, Deven (Meghan) Davis, Joseph Quinn, and Jacqulyn Kitts; and great-grandchildren, Eli Liston, Addison Davis, and Emma Davis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 53 years, Teresa Lenore “Teri” Davis, whom he married February 19, 1972 and who passed away on January 10, 2025.
At his request, there will be no service observed. The family will have a celebration of the lives of Dan and Teri at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for Dan and his family.
