**Obituary for Dale Edwin Logsdon**

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale Edwin Logsdon, a cherished resident of Millersport, OH. Born on June 3rd, 1933, Dale departed from this world on May 21st, 2025, just shy of his 92nd birthday. His lasting impact on family, friends, and the community is a testament to a life well-lived.

Dale was the beloved husband of the late Hope Logsdon, with whom he shared an "eternal love." Together, they fostered a warm and nurturing family that survives him today: his daughters, Lorrie (Ron) Hoover, Leslie (David) Gibson, and Lynn Logsdon Waterer. Dale's legacy also lives on through his grandchildren—Zachary (Ashley) Waterer, Holly (Chad) Culver, Lacey Haas, Lindsey (Correy) Hoover-Copeland, Abbey (Randy) Smith, Zane Waterer (Monica Coverdale), and Ben Gibson—and their 13 children, who cherished their great-grandfather dearly.

Dale was close with his surviving siblings—Dick, William (Joyce), and Mike (Kathy) Logsdon—and his sister, Kelli Logsdon-Diaz (John). He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Ethel Logsdon, his brother Scottie Logsdon, and his sister Dodi Garverick.

Dale’s formative years were spent at Lakewood High School in Hebron, OH, and Los Alamos High School in New Mexico. His passion for engineering propelled him into a successful 42-year career with Ohio Bell, where he worked in pressurization and fundamental planning. He was also instrumental in the development of "Call Before You Dig" (OUTC), marking a significant achievement in his professional journey.

A former member of the Millersport Lions Club and the Telephone Pioneers Club at Ohio Bell, Dale was deeply engaged in his community. He had a passion for gardening and yard work, he loved to dance, and he never missed his grandchildren's sports and school events, often attending with his trusted camcorder. His favorite sayings— "happy pappy" “better than butter,” “finer than frog hair,” and “blossom where you are planted”—captured his joyful and optimistic outlook on life. He also loved to rhyme and was often saying "Doodley-Do, I love You!"

We invite all who knew and loved Dale to join us in celebrating his life. Visitation will be held at Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Services in Thornville, OH, on Sunday, May 25th, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, at 2:30 pm at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, Dale's family graciously requests donations be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association or through the planting of a tree, honoring his love for nature.

Arrangements have been lovingly provided by Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Services.

Dale was more than an accomplished engineer or a loving family man; he was a pillar of joy, camaraderie, and steadfast love. His presence will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
