Curtis William Kohler

February 19, 1964 — June 1, 2025

Rushville

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Curtis William Kohler, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who peacefully left this world on June 1, 2025, surrounded by his family. Curtis, a courageous soul, fought a valiant battle and won his final fight with grace and dignity.

Born February 19, 1964, in Youngstown Ohio, Curtis dedicated his life to his family, his faith, and his passions. A proud electrician, he retired after 20 years with the IBEW before joining Premiere Home Technologies, where he continued to share his skills and dedication.

A man of God, Curtis’s life was marked by his kindness, gentle spirit, and infectious smile. He loved hunting, racing pigeons, and cherished the family's annual Renaissance Festival outings. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, whom he loved and adored more than words can express.

He is survived by:

His incredible wife, Stephanie Kohler

His three beautiful children: Michael (Aurea) Ballentine, Rachel Ballentine, and Genevieve Kohler

His five beloved grandchildren: Aiden, Aliyah, and Asir Ballentine, and Niko and Neli Perez

His brothers and sisters, along with many nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by:

His mother, Patricia (Lavo) Kohler

His father, Walter Kohler

His brother, Rick (Elaine) Kohler

Curtis’s legacy lives on through the lives he touched — his kindness, his unwavering support, and his beautiful spirit will forever remain in our hearts. His life was a testament to love, faith, and service, and he leaves behind a lasting imprint on all who knew him.

A celebration of Curtis’s life will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 10:30am until the time of service at 12:00pm at the Life Church Vineyard, 5550 Lancaster-Newark Road NE, Pleasantville, Ohio 43140. Lunch to follow at the church.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Josh, Erica, Denise, Sara, and the entire staff of Gentiva Hospice Columbus for their compassionate care and support during his final days.
