Claudine Gail "Deena" Lamp

January 15, 1955 — April 17, 2025

Granville

Claudine Gail “Deena” Lamp, age 70, of Granville, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born January 15, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio, as a beloved daughter of the late Claude Gambill and the late Wanda Lessie (Landis) Jacks-Phalen.

A proud graduate of Watkins Memorial High School in Pataskala, Deena furthered her educational journey at the 3B School of Beauty in Newark. She, alongside her devoted husband, owned and managed Storage Rental America in Granville.

Deena’s life was a tapestry woven with family, friends, and fun. She found joy in the excitement of going to the casino and of playing Bingo, which she absolutely loved, the thrill of shopping, and the peace of being at the beach. However, nothing compared to the joy she found in spoiling her grandchildren, with whom she shared countless hours baking cookies and creating sweet memories.

Deena leaves behind her beloved husband of 22 years, Thomas Alan Lamp, whom she married January 17, 2003. Her love and nurturing spirit live on through her children, Kelly (Tim) Williams of Painesville, Shane (Bobbi) Baker of Crooksville, and Adam (Kayla) Waites of Newark. She adored her grandchildren, Molly (Cecil) Smith, Mylee, Clayton, Taylor, Lilley, Zayvian, Bryson, Alexa, Gabriel, and Liam, and her great-grandson, Truett Oliver Smith. Additionally, Deena is survived by her step-daughter, Dawn Hernandez (Miguel Alpizar Hernandez); her brother, Donald Gambill; her sister, Patty (Steve) Trout; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Deena was preceded in death by her brother, John Russell Gambill; and sister, Rachael Crotzer.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark.
