Clark Allen Tibbs

Clark Allen Tibbs, age 75, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at his home. He was born February 26, 1951 in Salem, Ohio to the late Howard Arthur Tibbs and the late Betty C. (Clark) Tibbs.

Clark was a 1969 graduate of Newark High School where he played on the football team for Paul “Hoss” Starr. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business in 1974 from Central State University’s Smith College of Business in Wilberforce, Ohio. He owned and operated CT Associates and Phagevax, Inc. where he was a class A machinist.

Clark was a strong Democrat and was a member of the Licking County Draft Board. He had varied interests including art collecting and was a proponent of dietary supplements and naturopathic remedies.

He is survived by three children, Elyn Tibbs-Rogers (Howard) of Howard, Ohio, John Clark Tibbs of the New York City area, and Matthew Alan Tibbs of Columbus; brothers, Howard Anthony Tibbs (Gloria Scott-Tibbs) of Columbus, Philip Andrew Tibbs of St. Petersburg, Florida, and David Arthur Tibbs of Newark; one niece, one nephew, and numerous cousins.

At his request, no service will be observed.
