Cheryl Lynn Hagy

July 10, 1954 — September 12, 2025

Etna

Cheryl Lynn Hagy (Blauser), 71, of Etna, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025. She was born on July 10, 1954, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late Kenneth and Patricia Blauser.

Cheryl was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend. For many years, she worked as a realtor with USA-1 in Pataskala, where she was admired for her determination, her sharp mind, and her unwavering dedication to others. Cheryl carried herself with a quiet strength that inspired everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her resilience, her beauty inside and out, and her radiant smile that could light up any room.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. Cheryl poured her heart into her children and grandchildren, always making sure they felt deeply loved and supported. She showed up for every moment—whether at a game, a meet, a celebration, or a simple family dinner—cheering, guiding, and nurturing with all of her being. Her home was the heart of countless family gatherings, filled with warmth, laughter, and the comfort of her cooking—especially her famous mac & cheese that became a symbol of “grandma’s love.”

Cheryl cherished life’s simple pleasures, often pausing to watch the birds outside her window, especially the yellow finches, cardinals, and hummingbirds she adored. At Christmas, her favorite time of year, she transformed her home into a place of wonder, with twinkling lights, carefully placed decorations, and her beloved grandchildren by her side decorating her tree.

She is survived by her husband, Charles L. Hagy Sr.; her daughter, Brandi A. Hagy (Clay Scharf); her son, Charles L. Hagy Jr.; her brother, Timothy Blauser; her sister, Carol Blauser-Rhodes (Tom Rhodes); her grandchildren, Morgan L. Hagy, Charles L. Hagy III (Cameryn Wheeler), William Lane Hagy (Rowan Jordan), and Chace K. Lowery; her honorary granddaughter, April Wiessinger; her nieces Emma Rhodes, and Lori Hagy; her daughter-in-law, Kyra Barbee; her sister-in-law, Brenda Blauser; her dear friends, Marge, Greg, Carol, Phil, and Jeanette; her grand-pups Lucy and Burrow; and many others whose love she cherished deeply.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Patricia Blauser, and her brother, Thomas Blauser.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 2–4 p.m. (family hour at 1 p.m.), and again on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 9:30–10:30 a.m., followed by a service at 10:30 a.m., all at Hoskinson Funeral Home at 285 E Main St. Kirkersville, OH 43033.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that Cheryl is now at peace—her strength unbroken, her love everlasting, and her spirit forever watching over the children and grandchildren she held so close to her heart.
