Charles Frederick Winegardner

A graveside service honoring the life of Charles Frederick “Chuck” Winegardner, age 76, of Thornville, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery with Clifford Mason officiating.

Chuck was born November 12, 1949 in Newark, Ohio to the late Homer Frederick Winegardner and the late Hannah Rebecca (Hamm) Winegardner. He passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Altercare Thornville.

Chuck collected many things, especially oil lamps, and enjoyed going to yard sales and Goodwill. He also enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his sister, Cindy Ann Heimerl of Millersport; and two nephews, Cory William Heimerl of Thornville and Cody Frederick Heimerl of Lancaster.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Terry William Heimerl who died November 9, 1990.
