Carole E. Calewarts, age 88 of Hebron, passed away peacefully Friday, August 7, 2026, while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on March 30, 1938, in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Ernest G. and Carrie May (Good) Ricketts.

Carole was a graduate of Hebron High School. She devoted her life to raising her family. She worked for over 40 years as an Avon representative earning Presidents Club status.

Carole and her late husband, Gene enjoyed attending the Buckeye Lake Eagles and Thornville Moose Lodges. She loved dancing, going to the casino and Hebron American Legion to listen to Bluegrass music, every Thursday night.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Eugene A. Calewarts whom she married July 2, 1983; daughter, Connie Keiffer.

Carole is survived by her daughter, Cathie Jackson; grandchildren, Chris (Dave) Cremeans, Jerry (Jackie) Jackson; 7 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren and lifelong friend, Lucille “Lucy”.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm on Thursday August 13, 2026, at Hoskinson Funeral Home, 108 North Seventh Street, Hebron where a funeral service will begin at NOON Thursday with Pastor Jerry Mears officiating. Burial Hebron Cemetery.
