Carlos R. Huff

Carlos R. Huff, of Thornville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on Sunday, September 8, 1940, in Grayson, Kentucky, Carlos lived a life full of adventure, service, and love.

Carlos was a dedicated expert automotive mechanic whose passion for cars was unparalleled. His expert hands and keen mind brought countless vehicles back to life, earning him the admiration and gratitude of many throughout his career. A proud veteran, Carlos honorably served his country in the United States Navy, embodying the values of duty and sacrifice.

On June 21, 1971, Carlos married the love of his life, Linda S. (Ross) Huff, and together they shared 54 wonderful years. His legacy is cherished by his loving wife Linda; their children, Deanna "DeDe" (Chad) Ervin, Angela Huff, and Nicholas Huff; and his beloved grandchildren, Lucas Ervin and Gabe Irwin. Carlos also leaves behind a special niece, Raeven (Daniel) Batts, along with many other cherished nieces, nephews, and friends who were touched by his kindness and generous spirit.

Carlos's life was enriched by his hobbies and passions. He loved riding motorcycles, tinkering with cars, and could often be found mowing his lawn or enjoying the great outdoors. Boating, cycling, and walking on the beach were among his favorite pastimes, especially when shared with his wife, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Halbert and Ada Huff; his son, Carl R. Huff, Jr.; his brothers, James Roy Huff, Hager Huff, and Hobert Huff; and his sisters, Helen Huff and Rita Zeiger.

Carlos's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Thornville chapel Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service for their compassionate care.

His memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who were fortunate to know him.
