It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Brennan Maddox Shahan, who left us far too soon on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025. Born on Wednesday, February 28th, 2007, in Newark, Ohio, Brennan lived in Pataskala, OH, where he made a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Brennan was a spirited young man who recently graduated from Watkins Memorial High School in 2025. He participated in cross country and track. Brennan developed a passion for weightlifting and took pride in both maintaining and modifying his car. Both were activities that brought him immense satisfaction.
He found joy in life's simple pleasures such as skateboarding, fishing, and late-night drives, and cherished the moments spent with his siblings, Alexis, Lucas, and Charlie, as well as his beloved cousins: Asher, Allison, Eli, Lucas, Graham and Bennett. His love for anime, especially "Attack on Titan," was well-known, and he enjoyed watching episodes with his mom, alongside episodes of "Friends." He and his mom were buddies. Brennan also enjoyed his time with Duke and Teddy, his two well loved pets.
Brennan worked at Coca-Cola, where he was valued for his diligence and positive spirit. In the family, he was adored for his goofy personality, intelligence and his kind heart. Brennan loved family gatherings and his Mamaw's sugar cream pies.
He is survived by his loving mother, Toni Marie LiPira, and her partner Gheorghe Stelea; his father, Jonathan M. Huffman, and wife Suzi; his maternal grandparents Eric and Angie Zeigler, and Thomas LiPira; his siblings, Alexis LiPira, Lucas Huffman, and Charlie Huffman. Brennan will be dearly missed by his aunts and uncles, Amy and Phil Artin, Brittney Noonan, Ben and Courtney Zeigler, and Rachel Zeigler and Tara; as well as his cousins, Allison, Asher, Eli, Bennett, Graham, and Lucas, his dear friend Landon and a host of other friends.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Friday, August 29th, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Services in Thornville, OH. Following the visitation, a service to honor and celebrate Brennan's life will be held at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Cory Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery.
His departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Arrangements have been lovingly provided by the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service.
May Brennan Maddox Shahan rest in eternal peace.
