Johnson, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and sister-in-law, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, at her home, with her family by her side, in Pataskala, Ohio, at the age of 82. Born on Monday, January 10th, 1944, in Inez, Kentucky, Betty lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family.

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Michael L. Johnson, who passed away on the same day and month, June 6th. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Eliza (Horn) Dalton, her sister Josie Dalton, and her brother-in-law, Jim Mills.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Tami (Joe) Colopy and Cindi (Chris) Strawser, and her cherished siblings, Juanita Mills, Oretha (Dick) Gray, Sue (Junior) Mills, and brother Isaac (Susan) Dalton. Betty was a proud grandmother to Chase (Andrea), Cody, Hayden, Celeste, Cierra, Madison, and Olivia. Her legacy extends to her three great-grandchildren, Luna, Owen, and James. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends.

Betty dedicated her career to Western-Electric, now known as AT&T, as a skilled technician. Outside of work, she had a passion for gardening, both flowers and vegetables, along with crocheting, fishing, and cooking. She cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Kirkersville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, beginning at 1:00 pm.
