With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Beatrice L. Lawrence-Seidl, who left this world peacefully on Thursday, January 8th, 2026. Born on June 17th, 1940, in Jacksontown, Ohio, Beatrice lived a life full of love, compassion, and generosity. She was a cherished resident of Jacksontown, Ohio, where her warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Beatrice was preceded in death by some of her closest loved ones, including her father, Howard "Mose" Russell Arnold; her mother, Helen Arnold; her beloved spouse, Robert Seidl; her son, Randy Lawrence; and her brother, Jim Arnold. Beatrice was the last surviving member of her immediate family, but she leaves behind a legacy of love through the lives she touched and the family she nurtured.
She is survived by her devoted children, Dave (Martha) Cable, Don Cable, and Peggy Sue Seidl. Beatrice's life was further blessed with her special friend, Jim Wilson. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, David (Jessica) Cable, Drew (Shelby) Cable, Dean (Ashton) Cable, Daphne (D'Anthony) Hosley, Vilanie Cable, Brandon Lawrence, and Dylan Lawrence, as well as her dear great-grandchildren, Trinity, Gunner, Granger, Hank, Jackson, Tinlee, Delilah, Desmond, Dailyn, Bradee-Peyton, Collette, and Elliott. She will also be deeply missed by her niece, Lisa Arnold, and nephew, Rusty Arnold, along with many friends.
Beatrice's professional life was marked by her dedication and excellence as the head teller and banker at Park National Bank in Newark, Ohio, where she worked for nearly 30 years. A proud graduate of Jacksontown High School's Class of 1958, Beatrice was actively involved in her community and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Parish in Bendena, Kansas.
Her hobbies reflected her love for nature and creativity. Beatrice enjoyed gardening, canning, raising pasture chickens, baking, and cooking. An avid reader and admirer of the Amish lifestyle, she found joy in visiting Amish country. Her passion for sewing and quilting was evident in the countless receiving blankets she lovingly made and donated to hospitals and shelters to comfort those less fortunate. She also delighted in square dancing and was a loyal fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
