Ashlee D. Deckard

Ashlee D. Deckard, a devoted homemaker known for her boundless love, creativity, and nurturing spirit, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the age of 42. Born in Zanesville, Ohio, on a warm Friday, July 8, 1983, Ashlee will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ashlee leaves behind a legacy of love through her family and friends. She is survived by her beloved father, Russell (Robin) Hammond, and her loving mother, Wanda (Hague) Harney. Ashlee shared a wonderful life with her devoted spouse, Matthew L. Deckard, with whom she built a beautiful family. She was a proud and loving mother to her daughter, Destiney (Chris Parsons) Barnhart, and her sons, Cyrus (Kalie Rice) Barnhart and Keegan Deckard. Her siblings include sisters Wendy (Marqus) Allen, Katrina (Eric) Mills, Brittney Needles, Alexandria Hammond, and Darienne Hammond. She treasured being a grandmother to her precious grandson, Everette Barnhart, and cherished her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ashlee was preceded in death by her cherished grandparents, her brother Jeramiah Hammond, and her step-father Mike Harney. Though her presence is irreplaceable, the memories she created will forever be cherished in our hearts.

Known for her passions and interests, Ashlee was an avid collector of Wizard of Oz memorabilia and a fan of Ozzy Osbourne. She found joy and solace in watching horror movies and spending cherished moments with her family and friends at Myrtle Beach. These simple joys and the love for those around her defined her life.
