Life Legacy
Velma Kathleen Lapp, 92, of Pataskala, died March 8, 2010 following an
Extended illness. Born June 1, 1917 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late James and Stella (Allen) McGuire. Retired church organist at Crooksville and Coshocton for over 40 years. Member Pataskala United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Bernard Wilson(who died during WWII) and Maynard Lapp, and her brother Rev. Dr. Floyd McGuire (Henrietta) and sister Pearl Baker (Franklin).
Survived by her sister Evelyn Watts of Blacklick; niece Kathleen (Bruce) Ashcraft of Pataskala, nephews Rev. Dr. Mark (Cynthia) Watts of New Hampshire, Douglas McGuire (Nancy) of Virginia and Dr. Neil Baker of Nevada.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 until time of the Funeral Services celebrating her life at 11:00 am at the Pataskala United Methodist Church, 458 S Main St., Pataskala. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Wesley Ridge, Pataskala Oaks and FairHoPe Hospice for their loving care. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be directed to the FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells
