Life Legacy
A funeral service, celebrating the life of Judy D. Yocum, 67, of
Buckeye Lake, will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 11:00 am
in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville. Burial
will follow at Fairmount Cemetery near Jacksontown.
Judy died Thursday, January 28, 2010 following an extended illness.
She was born in Athens County, on June 3, 1942, the daughter of the
late Dan and Eileen (Manning) Yocum. She was a graduate of Central
H.S. in Columbus, class of 1961.
She was retired from the F.& R. Lazarus company in Columbus, and also
the AR Webb office supply company in Newark. She was a former Buckeye
Lake Council woman, and a former member of the VFW Post #1388 and Buckeye
Lake Fire Department.
She is survived by her loving family: Her sister Theresa (Tim) Faryman
of Buckeye Lake, Her brothers Jack (Jan) Yocum of Hebron and Danny (JoAnn)
Yocum of Grove City; her 7 nieces and nephews and her 1 great nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James.
Friends may call on Monday, February 1, 2010 from 5-8 pm at the funeral
home, 285 East Main St. in Kirkersville, where an on-line guest register and
